General Information about Cookies

The VBL uses cookies in order to identify the settings and preferences of our users for then being able to adjust and improve the design of our website for our users. If the user deletes the cookies in his browser, the E-Privacy Directive Cookie will also be deleted. In other cases the cookie will be deleted at latest after one year.
  1. Session-Cookie (session)
The website www.vbl.de sets a Session Cookie at the beginning of every session in order to make navigating and reading content easier.

If the user deletes the cookies in his browser, the Session Cookie will also be deleted. In all other cases it will be deleted at latest after 60 minutes.

The deletion of cookies depends on the settings of the user’s webbrowser.
  1. Web analysis Cookies
Our website uses the web analysis software Piwik. Piwik uses the following cookies to produce pseudonymous user profiles:

3.1)    _pk_id
This cookie contains a pseudonymous combination of letters and numbers as a visitor ID value which is used to determine if a visitor has visited the VBL website before. The cookie will automatically be deleted after twelve months.

3.2)    _pk_ses
This cookie is responsible for keeping a Piwik session active for 30 minutes after the last tracked action. Hereafter the cookie will be deleted.

3.3)    _pk_ref
This cookie contains information about referrers of the visitor (e.g. previously visited websites) and will automatically be deleted after six months.

3.4)    piwik_ignore
This cookie will be set when you deactivate the web analysis with the link below. The cookie lifetime does not expire.

The cookies mentioned under 3.1 to 3.3 are set at the beginning of the visit of the website www.vbl.de.

Deacitvation Piwik
